Pair of Beautiful Victorian Watercolours by Henry Earp of West Pier Brighton and Blackrock Brighton -Signed, Framed and Mounted
This is a pair of lovely original watercolours by Henry Earp, a Victorian artist who was based in Brighton showing a beach scene with the West Pier and anther of Blackrock as they were in the mid 1800's.
Including frames the pictures are both approximately 37cms x 47cms.
Both are signed, framed and mounted and have a Morgan & Brown Fine Art Dealers old label on the back.
Born in 1831 Henry Earp was a Brighton based artist working predominantly in watercolours and oils.
He exhibited at the Royal Institute for Painters in Watercolour, Walker Gallery in Liverpool and Manchester City Art Gallery.
He apparently visited New Zealand in the 1870's and is recorded as exhibiting with the Otago Art Society in 1877.
